We had a decision to make, do we follow the norms of the industry, use typical distribution channels and make money for retailers or do we make our own lane, go direct to consumer and pass the savings on to our customers? We chose the latter, we exist to deliver value to our customers, not to retailers. In order to do so we cut out the middlemen and traditional retail markups. We exclusively sell direct to you, the end user, which allows us to reduce the price rather than increase it to accommodate distributor and retailer markups. After all, our design principles pushed the boundaries of what’s possible in life jacket design so why wouldn’t our business model do the same? The Wingman is the first and only direct-to-consumer life jacket, by blazing this trail we are able to deliver superior quality at competitive pricing and continue to pioneer the future of water safety.

We began developing the Wingman because companies weren't listening to us, the customer, it's time for a paradigm shift. By handling all the distribution in house we are able to build a relationship with you based on transparency, we're in this thing for the long haul. We're here to build a community of water sports enthusiasts that can help us design the future of water safety. We need your help and your feedback in order to make this future a reality.
OUR VEST WOULD COST $300+ IN RETAILERS
We worked with retailers for a while, experimenting with various margins and MSRP’s to try and find an arrangement that would work for both of us. Unfortunately it always came back to one thing, in order to give them the margin they demand, we’d need to push the retail price higher. We chose to do the opposite, walk away from the table, cut the price and let the customers save the money that the retailer would make. We’ve never been happier.
